Artist: Barry of fishfanatic

I'm loving these Gyotaku prints by Barry Singer of fishfanatic. Gyotaku prints are prints or rubbings made by putting pigment onto a fish and making a print directly from the fish. In ancient Japan, the purpose of these prints were to record how large a fish was caught. I'll be headed to my parents in a week or so, and I think I'm going to give this a try with some of the fish from their trout pond. I'm excited to see how it goes. For more of Barry's work and more about Gyotaku printing check out his etsy store and website.
