Kitty embroidery

Yesterday was my last full day at home in Wisconsin (I'm probably driving back to Minneapolis right now). During the Packer game I decided to make a little embroidery piece of a Kitty. I'm thinking of making up some patterns in the near future, so I thought I'd play around a little bit. Let me know what you think. Also, here's a pic of me working on my next batch of Kitties. I'm hoping to post them up on my Etsy this week.

This pic is from two years ago Thanksgiving, but I thought I'd share. A turkey decided to come sit on the stoop. It's cookie making today here in Wisconsin at my parent's house so I'll have some yummy pics of those in the next couple of days. And I also just finished some new really bright fun Kitties, so I'll be posting those too.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Here are some of my pics of our table from yesterday. Now I'm going to go have a coffee and some leftover apple kuchen. YUM!

Because I like it.

I'm at home right now for Thanksgiving and I'll for sure be playin' some guitar hero. Check this out if you haven't seen it yet. I can't image how much planning it took. Anyway. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Artist: Kup Kup Land photography

Remember three days ago when I said that I might have to do a post of Kima from Kup Kup Land's photography? Well I couldn't wait any longer... Here are some recent images of hers that are super fun and festive. Here's another one that I love from her Animal Cards series. More on her flickr and etsy.

Artist: Aliette

I saw the work of Aliette on the front page of Etsy today and I'm pretty much in love. I want the illustration of the second pic (titled: automne 2) printed huge and hung in my studio. How fun would that be. See much more gorgeousness in the Aliette Etsy store here.

Artist: Squirrel on a Ledgetop

These are just too funny. They are adorable little catnip pillows made by Squirrel on a Ledgetop. I would love one of these but big for my sofa. So cute! Check out the Squirrel on a Ledgetop store here.

Artist: Kima of Kup Kup Land

These are the coolest little felt broaches. They are from the Petit Patisserie collection by Kima of Kup Kup Land. Wouldn't these make the neatest wedding gifts. Everyone could have little replicas of the wedding cake. So adorable. Check out more on Kima's etsy, flickr and blog. I may have to do another post later just on her fantastic toy animal photography.

Artist: Jess of Lobster and Swan

I just absolutely love these "Estate Sale" boxes by Jess of Lobster and Swan. Jess puts together the most lovely collections of vintage and new treasures and packages them up. It's like she curates mini art galleries of cuteness. See more on her etsy, and see a couple of the most beautiful blogs and flickrs I've seen in a while here, here and here.

Artist: Marcela Restrepo

I've just fallen in love with Marcela Restrepo's illustrations. Her sketchy + painted color style is awesome. These make me want to get drawing again. It's been a little while, I've been too busy with freelance jobs and sewing. But hopefully, come Thanksgiving I'll be ready to go again. Here are Marcela's links to purchase and see more... portfolio website, blog, flickr, big cartel store.
